Most consider HarmonyOS a good idea, but have reservations about the future
Huawei is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world, but that does not in any way prevent problems, quite the contrary. Conflicts with the United States of America ‘cut their legs’ to the Chinese company, and one of the most significant consequences was the brand’s impediment in negotiating with US companies, or with links to the US.
In this sense, Huawei did not lower its arms and, among the solutions found, decided to create its own operating system for smartphones. So, in our question from last week, we asked our readers about their opinion about HarmonyOS. Let's see the results.
What is your opinion about the HarmonyOS operating system?
After last week's question is finished, the disclosure of all results now follows through the analysis of the 1,605 responses obtained.
The majority, with 48% of the answers, consider HarmonyOS a good idea, but have reservations about its future (771 votes). In its turn 30% are of the opinion that the operating system will be a success and that this was a good response from Huawei to US sanctions (488 votes).
Already for 22% of voters, HarmonyOS was a bad bet for the Chinese brand that could thus lose customers (346 votes).
For a better visual perception, follow the graph with the results:
The company has already announced the official HarmonyOS website, and has also made the source code for OpenHarmony, the opensource version of the system, available for download. In addition, it is also confirmed that smartphones with EMUI 11 can upgrade to this operating system.
On the other hand, Xiaomi has already stated that it will not update its smartphones for this operating system from Huawei.
But if you didn't answer, tell us now what is your opinion about the HarmonyOS operating system.
